"The Olympic Sailing Experience" - Oskar Johansson & Bernard Luttmer
The Speaker Series was launched in January 2005 at the Toronto International Boat Show. The purpose of the series was to spread the Olympic spirit and to share the experiences of Athens with sailors. The goal is to raise $20,000 for the Nathan Cowan Memorial Fund. It is only attainable with the generous support of the sailing community and corporate donations.
Overview of the Speaker Series’ Contents:
- Brief Introduction–Prefaced with an acknowledgement of the title sponsors (yet to be determined) thanking them for making the series possible
- The Road to the Olympics – The challenges of training and campaigning
- The Olympic Life – The Opening Ceremonies and the Olympic Village
- Racing at the Olympics – Experiences on the racecourse
- The Nathan Cowan Fund - Raising awareness for a worthy cause
- Conclusion – Donation requests and a final promotion of the title sponsor
